We had a terrible time trying to decide what to plant in Ron's bog garden. The plants decided for us. Ron did extra work to create a little wet area just beside the lower pond. I think they're calling them rain gardens now. It sounds intriguing.

The Chinese iris a friend gave me love it here.

These Black Eyed Susan (Rudbeckia hirta) planted themselves between cracks in the brick walkway that is suppose to be here. I think the seeds blew in from the wild flower patch or were dropped by birds. The bog garden sort of decided on its own what would grow in it. We tried lots of moisture loving plants here. It is survival of the most invasive here.
